Sesame Ginger Salmon

There are many variations of this Sesame Ginger Salmon recipe. They are all pretty good. You can either bake this in the oven or grill it on the stovetop. There are also plenty of sesame ginger marinades available in the Asian section of your local grocery store. They work pretty well also.

4 – 1 lb. Virgin Bay Salmon Filets

1/4 cup olive oil

2 Tbsp. soy sauce

2 Tbsp. sesame oil

2 Tbsp. rice vinegar

2 Tbsp. brown sugar

1 Tbsp. freshly grated ginger

1 Tbsp. sesame seeds

4 green onions chopped thinly

2 tsp. minced garlic

1 tsp. wasabi paste

2 Tbsp. Miso paste (optional)

Combine above ingredients in 1 gallon ziploc bag.

Place salmon filets in bag at least 30 minutes or as long as overnight prior to grilling.

Grill on hot, lightly oiled (canola) skillet on stovetop (as instructed above) flesh side down for 2 minutes.

Turn fish onto skin side and grill until finished. Baste with marinade after turning (usually need about 2-4 minutes maximum time until fish is done after you turn it – total cook time 4-6 minute). Remember your pan has to be HOT.
