What is the difference between farmed and wild salmon?
As opposed to wild Alaskan Salmon, when a salmon is farmed, this means they are raised in a pen, hand fed, and grown to a certain size until they can be harvested. These salmon never have to exercise to find their food, or exert energy to escape predators. The feed that these salmon are eating is not organic, high quality material. Instead it is hormone added/corn based feed. Not something you would even want to feed your dog.
In contrast, wild salmon start and end their life in wild waters. They are not kept in a pen, or hand fed. For these animals it’s every man for themselves. This keeps these animals wild, natural, sustainable and great tasting.
